Children at the Pulpit

Sunday School

Christ Church offers many different styles of Sunday school during mass each week. For the first Sunday of the month, there is a children’s sermon when everyone worships together.

For our youngest parishioners, the toddler room has toys and books for those with shorter attention spans. While this room is only staffed by volunteers during Godly Play hours, the room is always open for parents to remain with their children.

During the school year, a Montessori-style Godly Play program meets with children pre-K through grade 3. Our 4 & 5th graders meet twice a month allowing older children more time in the church community. And our new 6-8th grade class meets once a month during mass along with once a month outside of church hours. We have also begun a new middle school youth group in partnership with the Church of the Good Shepherd in Watertown, MA.

When in session, classes begin at 9:45 am (before the 10 am mass) and all the children join back with their families in the mass in time for communion.

Jesus frequently put children at the center of his ministry, and we aim to do the same here at Christ Church. Through our education and fellowship, we hope to welcome everyone, of every age.
