Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me… Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.
(Matthew 25: 35-36, 40)

In our life of faith, we seek not just to believe in God, but also to do the work of God. At Christ Church we try to live our faith both in our hearts in worship and in our hands and feet in our ministries in the world. From our diaper bank, Diaper Depot, to our work bringing lunch to homeless and poor persons at the Community Day Center to our occasional fundraisers for international and peace work, we try to show our love for God in our love for God’s people.

Our main projects:

  • Grandma’s Pantry is our Food Pantry, open to local seniors on the Second and Fourth Saturday of each month, from 9am to 11am.
  • Our Diaper Depot, open the third Saturday of the month, offers diapers to families in need.
  • A group from Christ Church brings lunch to the Waltham Community Day Center on the third Thursday of the month; sign up in the hall if you’d like to volunteer.
  • Meadowscaping for Biodiversity is an outdoor, project-based, environmental education program and has planted a beautiful meadow in our outdoor space. Stop by for a look!

Please see the individual page for each ministry for more information. To donate funds to the Pantry or Diaper Depot, write “Pantry” or “Diaper Depot” in the memo on your check and put in the offering plate. We also have a special diaper collection day the first Sunday of each month in conjunction with our children’s service.
