Why do you feel so lonely when you’re surrounded by so many people? Darkness can make you feel invisible—it can plant doubt in your heart, even about those who love you dearly. You may feel lost in the darkness within your soul, and I know you are afraid.
Don’t doubt my presence when darkness blurs your vision. I am your light. I invite you to follow me—simply follow my light in the darkness.
The darkness is mine to handle. Do not fight it alone. I am the Lord of both darkness and light. I see through the darkness. By my word, darkness was conquered by my light: “Let there be light.” And by that same word, I have declared light to guide your path: “I am the Light of the world.” If you walk in my light, you will not stumble.
I will not force you to come to my light. You have a choice: remain dwelling in darkness, or follow my light. It is my desire to lead you into eternal peace, but you must walk in my ways. Keep following my light.
I walked through the darkness, and I know the pain it brings. It was not for my sake that darkness covered the earth on the day I hung on the cross. I endured that darkness and that pain for you, because you are mine. Today, walk in my light. Darkness awaits those who turn away from me.
Please join us as we say farewell to Jeanette Asaadorian on Friday at 10am, and for Sunday worship at 9.30am.
