So much is going around us. So today, I invite you to pause and sit with one simple question: Who are you?
Do you remember when God asked Abraham to count the stars? The promise that his descendants would be countless may sound like an exaggeration—but is it? Think of all who have lived before you, all whose footsteps shaped the earth you now stand on. They are beyond counting. If they were to return and fill our streets, we would indeed be countless.
And you—you are one star among billions.
So again, who are you?
This question unsettles us. We resist it. We would rather stay busy than be still, rather be distracted than listen. Yet only in listening do we begin to find our heart. We fear ourselves more than we fear others. We fear silence. We fear stillness. We fear being alone with who we truly are.
To seek who you are takes courage. It is not about how the world defines you, nor about the roles you perform or the names you carry. It is about what you know yourself to be before God—the purpose of our very being. This is why solitude frightens us: it removes our distractions and leaves us face to face with ourselves. It exposes our own vulnerabilities.
Still, the truth remains. You must meet yourself in silence. You must listen to your heart.
Friends, the human heart is a galaxy. Within it is a single star—a truth, a call, a destiny—that only you can find. No one else can reach it for you. No one else can claim it on your behalf. You must journey toward it, step by step, in trust.
Until you reach that star, you remain unfinished. But when you do, you become who you were created to be. You become fulfilled. Today pause and be still. Find yourself in the stillness of your heart. Your God speaks in silence too.
